Just a note about kids, being in ketosis for a kid doesn’t mean taking away calories and doesn’t effect growth. That is an old myth. Our boys have been in ketosis since we brought them home from Ethiopia. They started out not even registering on growth (height weight) charts and after two year eating keto to satiety they are at 50-60% on the growth charts. There is nothing inherently wrong with keto for kids. In fact they thrive as the brain need fat.
