12: Healthy Fats, Gut Microbiome, & Sleep On Keto

12: Healthy Fats, Gut Microbiome, & Sleep On Keto

After a one-week hiatus while our hosts were attending the Low Carb Vail conference in Vail, Colorado last weekend, they back with a vengeance to provide you with another fun-filled and informative episode of one of the hottest new nutritional health podcasts called Keto Talk with Jimmy Moore & The Doc (listen and leave a review for the show on iTunes HERE). We have 10-year veteran health podcaster and international bestselling author Jimmy Moore from “Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb” and Arizona osteopath and certified bariatric physician Dr. Adam Nally from “Doc Muscles” here for you week after week to share from their experiences both personally and working with others to implement a low-carb, moderate protein, high-fat, ketogenic approach to health and healing. We have so thoroughly enjoyed hearing from YOU the listeners about how you like the show and we urge you to keep the feedback coming through reviews on iTunes as well as questions you’d like for us to answer on air (e-mail Jimmy and we may read and answer yours on the air in a future podcast). Listen in today as Jimmy and Adam provide another fabulous ketolicious show for you in Episode 12!

KEY QUOTE: “Where’s the butter? Where’s the coconut oil? Where’s the healthy saturated fats.” — Jimmy Moore

Plus, don’t miss our listener question from this week’s featured Keto Talk Mailbox e-mail at the end of the show:

I just finished reading Keto Clarity and I have two words for you…THANK YOU! I’m on day seven of my new ketogenic lifestyle and I feel like a million bucks! I have great energy, mental clarity, and a great general sense of well being.  I’m writing because I have a question for you and the Doc. I’m having a non-surgical fat reduction procedure called Cool Sculpting done where an nurse applies large applicators to localized areas of the body and freezes the fat cells for about an hour so they will die, become metabolized, and then eliminated from the body.  Do you know of any negative ramifications of this procedure while in ketosis? What impact will it have on my ketone levels? Have you ever been asked this question?  My guess is no, as this is a fairly new procedure.  Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Sarah

Love this information you guys provide here. I would love to be on that cruise. A dream, maybe some day!
My sleep is amazing(I am VLC) I sleep better around 2-4 ketone level, I dream like a crazy person, vivid and detailed, colorful and like a cinema. As well I make my own fermented veggies and Kombucha, my gut has never been healthier. Dr. Purlmutter talks a lot about fermented foods and lately has a lot about gut health on his site, a bear even, so cool.
